Failed Project.

So there was supposed to be a final project here, but yeah that didn't happen at all. Nice to see that this is the second time that I could do a big ass animation. Anyways, what would have happened is that stoick.gif down there, and then this.

Thats the way you do it!

So Susan has neglected to fix that glaring sound issue in her performance piece, so I fixed it for her. Boy Susan, why did you have to go and say those things? No wonder you broke the sound.

I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to say something about this, but I don't remember what. I'll figure it out later.

Final Project WIP

My final is still going to be stop motion animation kind of thing. This gif is pretty much what the thing will look like (click).

Though it isn't going to be a stickman the entire time. As the film goes on, the stickman becomes more and more developed and eventually turns into a character of mine. All I really need to know is if this looks smooth enough, or if I need to increase the fps or add more frames, or whatever.

Foinal

My final is going to be done in stop motion, something I actually came up with during the first assignment but decided not to do since I didn't think I had the time to do it. Still might not have the time, but whatever, I'll make more.

What I want to do is me sitting on a bench somewhere drawing. Then I get pissed off, crumple up the drawing, throw it on the ground, and stop off somewhere. Which is what I normally do when I draw things. Difference this time is that it comes to life, looking all unfinished (probably a stick man or something,) deciding to try and find its way back to my place. As it gets closer to home, it starts becoming more and more developed. Along the way it is helped along by other unfinished drawings, which also develop as the same pace the main one does. Eventually, it makes it way onto my computer as a finished piece, while I look back and admire my handiwork.

Then I flip my shit because it doesn't look like the hand of God himself drew it. I'm so unpleasable sometimes. Fuck you, me.

Presentation, I don't know, probably just a television on a wall or something. Maybe surround it and cover the ground with crumpled paper, and then have all of it mock me. Or whatever, something.

Of Teams and Fortresses.

This blog post doesn't actually have a video in it because it was terrible. So instead look at this sort of related thing. (click them)
If painting is sure to result in art then you must paint!Sun Tzu said that!

These pictures are an acrylic painting and a collage I made last semester, both on illustration board. Assignment was to make a collage from magazine clippings and stuff like that, and the paint it on a canvas that's four times larger than the collage. I chose to take something that already exists, the Soldier, and then glue pieces together into something resembling him. Painting's not really as good as it could be, I think, and I kinda like the collage better. The proportions look a bit off on the painting, not really sure why. Also that rocket launcher isn't the right size on either of them.

You like art? Because I like art, and I have more of it right after this break.

On Performance Art

Alright, I guess my performance piece is going to be me being an annoying asshole performance artist on Team Fortress 2, a game known for housing many intelligent and profound individuals. I'm not sure if this will work, but Kate said I could go ahead and do it, so it couldn't hurt to try, I guess. That video is still kind of appropriate actually, so that's nice.
