This blog post doesn't actually have a video in it because it was terrible. So instead look at this sort of related thing. (click them)
These pictures are an acrylic painting and a collage I made last semester, both on illustration board. Assignment was to make a collage from magazine clippings and stuff like that, and the paint it on a canvas that's four times larger than the collage. I chose to take something that already exists, the Soldier, and then glue pieces together into something resembling him. Painting's not really as good as it could be, I think, and I kinda like the collage better. The proportions look a bit off on the painting, not really sure why. Also that rocket launcher isn't the right size on either of them.
You like art? Because I like art, and I have more of it right after this break.
These are some self portraits: one newspaper collage, one black and white acrylic painting, and one complementary color acrylic painting, all on illustration board. I never really noticed this before, but yellow and purple look really nice together. The middle one is flipped because I messed up on the tracing for it. I wasn't stoned when I took that picture.
I'm tired of drawing my own face now, but something tells me I'm not finished yet.

Another acrylic painting on illustration board, monochromatic this time. This one is based off and earlier project that I did (see below,) and I really like the way it came out. Probably my favorite painting. There used to be a black and white one to go with it, but my John ate it or something; disappeared a while ago.
These are some fabric studies I did way back in October or something. First is charcoal on brown paper, second is chalk and charcoal on brown paper, third is black and white tempera on brown paper that I painted with furniture primer. I really like how most of these came out; they still look pretty good, I think.
It didn't work at all, in case you were wondering.

I don't even remember drawing this one, I just found it in the art pile and thought it looked nice. This is a charcoal on brown paper drawing of one of the life drawing models. It's one of those rare moments where he's wearing clothing.
And that's all of them. Feels kinda nice to actually have something up today. I'll go see about getting some pictures of my stuff in the gallery, which is pretty good stuff, I'll tell you what.
It took me three hours to write this post, holy shit
Thanks for sharing! It was fun to view some of your work that I had never seen.
